Effective July 2026
Privacy Policy
My Athlete helps families create athlete profile pages that can be shared with coaches, recruiters, and supporters. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how families can request updates or removal.
This policy is provided for transparency and should not be treated as legal advice.
Information We Collect
We collect information that is submitted to us by a parent, guardian, athlete, or family representative. This may include:
- Athlete name, nickname, jersey number, team, sport, positions, graduation year, city or region, stats, season notes, references, quotes, and recruiting details.
- Parent, guardian, or recruiting contact name, email address, phone number, and social profile links.
- Photos, videos, logos, and other media provided for the athlete profile.
- Intake form responses submitted through our form provider.
- Messages or requests sent to us about edits, updates, or profile removal.
Our hosting and form providers may also collect basic technical information, such as IP address, browser type, device information, timestamps, and security or usage logs.
Information About Minors
Athlete profiles may include information about minors. We expect information, photos, videos, and contact details for minors to be submitted by a parent or legal guardian, or with parent or guardian permission.
We do not knowingly ask children under 13 to submit personal information directly to us. If we learn that information about a child under 13 was submitted without appropriate parent or guardian consent, we will delete the information or work with the parent or guardian to resolve the issue.
How We Use Information
We use submitted information to:
- Create, publish, update, and maintain athlete profile pages.
- Communicate with families about profile content, edits, approvals, and removal requests.
- Display parent-approved athlete information, photos, videos, references, and contact details on profile pages.
- Operate, protect, and improve the website.
- Respond to safety, security, legal, or abuse concerns.
We do not sell personal information.
How Athlete Profiles Are Shared
Athlete profile pages are intended to be shared by direct link. Individual athlete profiles are not meant to be listed or discoverable from the home page.
However, profile pages are still public web pages unless a separate private access arrangement is made. Anyone with the link may be able to view, copy, screenshot, save, or share the page. Families should only submit information and media they are comfortable having included on a public-facing profile page.
Third-Party Services
We use third-party services to operate the site and collect profile information, including:
- Tally or another form provider for intake form submissions.
- Cloudflare Pages or another hosting provider for website hosting, performance, and security.
- External social platforms, such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or similar services, when a profile links to those accounts.
These third-party services may process information under their own privacy policies. When visitors click an external link, they leave My Athlete and are subject to the privacy practices of that external service.
How We Share Information
We may share information:
- As directed by the family when publishing profile content.
- With service providers that help us operate forms, hosting, storage, security, communications, or website functionality.
- When needed to comply with legal obligations.
- When needed to protect the safety, rights, property, or security of My Athlete, families, athletes, visitors, or others.
- With consent from the parent, guardian, athlete, or family representative.
We do not sell personal information.
Retention
We keep profile information for as long as the profile is active or as needed to provide the service.
Families may request updates, corrections, removal of specific information, or removal of an entire profile. We may retain limited records if needed for legal, security, accounting, dispute, or operational reasons.
Family Choices and Requests
Families may contact us to request:
- Corrections to athlete information.
- Replacement or removal of photos or videos.
- Removal of contact details.
- Updates to stats, seasons, references, or links.
- Removal of an athlete profile.
- Deletion of submitted intake information where reasonably possible.
We may need to verify that the person making the request is authorized to act for the athlete or family.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect submitted information. However, no website, form provider, email system, hosting service, or internet transmission is completely secure. Families should avoid submitting sensitive information that is not needed for the athlete profile.
Children's Privacy
This website is intended for use by parents, guardians, families, coaches, recruiters, and supporters. It is not intended to collect information directly from children under 13.
If you believe a child under 13 submitted personal information directly to us without parent or guardian consent, please contact us at contact@myathlete.fyi so we can review and remove the information if appropriate.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. The latest version will be posted on this page.
