1. What My Athlete Does

My Athlete helps families create simple athlete profile pages that can be shared with coaches, recruiters, and supporters. Profiles may include limited athlete information, photos, videos, stats, references, social links, and family-approved contact details.

We do not represent schools, teams, coaches, recruiters, leagues, or athletic organizations unless specifically stated.

2. Who May Submit Information

Athlete profile information should be submitted by either a parent or legal guardian.

If the athlete is a minor, the person submitting information must be the athlete's parent or legal guardian.

You are responsible for making sure the information, photos, videos, references, logos, and links you submit are accurate and authorized for use.

3. Permission to Use Submitted Content

By submitting information, photos, videos, logos, references, quotes, links, or other materials, you give My Athlete permission to use that content to create, publish, update, host, display, and maintain the athlete profile.

This permission is limited to operating the athlete profile and related website services. You still own the content you submit, or remain responsible for having the rights needed to submit it.

You confirm that you have the necessary permission to submit and publish the content, including permission from parents or guardians when the content involves a minor.

4. Athlete Profiles and Direct Links

Athlete profiles are intended to be shared by direct link. Individual athlete profiles are not meant to be listed or discoverable from the home page.

Anyone with the link may be able to view, copy, screenshot, save, or share the page.

You should only submit information and media that you are comfortable having included on a public-facing profile page.

5. No Recruiting Guarantee

My Athlete helps organize and present athlete information, but we do not guarantee recruiting results, coach contact, scholarship offers, roster spots, tryout invitations, or any other athletic opportunity.

Families are responsible for their own communication with coaches, recruiters, schools, teams, and athletic organizations.

6. Accuracy of Information

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit, including stats, season notes, references, academic information, team details, graduation year, contact details, and media.

We may help format, edit, summarize, or organize submitted content, but we are not responsible for independently verifying every detail.

If something is incorrect, outdated, or should be removed, contact us at contact@myathlete.fyi.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the site or services to submit, publish, or share content that:

• Is false, misleading, or impersonates someone else.
• Violates another person's privacy, publicity rights, copyright, trademark rights, or other rights.
• Contains harassment, hate, threats, bullying, or abusive content.
• Contains sexually explicit, exploitative, or inappropriate content, especially involving minors.
• Includes private information that should not be made public.
• Contains malware, spam, or attempts to interfere with the website.
• Violates any law, rule, regulation, team policy, school policy, or platform policy.

We may refuse, edit, remove, or take down content or profiles that we believe violate these Terms or create legal, safety, privacy, or reputational concerns.

8. Updates, Corrections, and Removal

Families may request updates, corrections, media replacements, contact detail changes, or profile removal.

We will make reasonable efforts to process requests, but timing may vary depending on the nature of the request. We may need to verify that the person making the request is authorized to act for the athlete or family.

9. Third-Party Services and Links

The site may use or link to third-party services, such as form providers, hosting providers, social platforms, video platforms, or external websites.

We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, terms, security, or availability of third-party services. When you use or click a third-party link, that service's own terms and policies apply.

10. Service Changes and Availability

We may update, change, pause, or discontinue parts of the website or service at any time.

We try to keep profile pages available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Website hosting, third-party services, maintenance, technical issues, security concerns, or other events may affect availability.

11. Privacy

12. Disclaimers

The site and services are provided "as is" and "as available." We do not promise that the site will always be available, error-free, secure, or meet every expectation.

We do not provide legal, recruiting, academic, athletic, financial, or professional advice.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, My Athlete will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost opportunities, lost data, reputational harm, recruiting outcomes, or third-party actions related to use of the site or athlete profiles.

14. Indemnification

You agree to hold My Athlete harmless from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses that arise from information or content you submit, your use of the site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of someone else's rights.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. The latest version will be posted on this page.
